The bedroom carpet is one of the most personal choices in your home — it's the first thing you feel in the morning and the last thing at night. Warmth, softness and visual harmony with your bedroom decor are the three key factors to consider.
Our bedroom carpet collection features hand tufted, hand knotted and flat-weave rugs in materials from pure wool to silk-blend viscose — all crafted in Bhadohi by master artisans. Whether your bedroom is minimal and modern or rich with colour and texture, we have a rug to complete the space.
Bedroom rug sizing is one of the most common sources of buyer regret. Our guidance:
If you prefer a smaller rug, place it at the foot of the bed rather than under it — this avoids the furniture-on-rug issue while still anchoring the bed visually.
Bedrooms generally benefit from calmer colour palettes — neutrals (beige, grey, cream), soft blues, dusty pinks and sage greens. Avoid very bold patterns in bedrooms where restful atmosphere is the goal. A subtle geometric or tone-on-tone texture adds visual interest without overstimulating.
If your bedding and curtains are patterned, choose a solid or very simple textured rug. If your walls and textiles are solid, a patterned rug can be the focal point of the room.
For bedroom use, a medium pile (10–20 mm) gives the ideal balance of softness and ease of maintenance. Deep pile (25 mm+) is also suitable for bedrooms but requires more vacuuming. Flat-weave is easier to clean but feels harder underfoot.
Yes — placing the rug at least two-thirds under the bed creates a unified, luxurious look. It also means the soft rug surface is where you step when getting out of bed. If space or budget is a concern, a runner on each side of the bed is an elegant alternative.
Dhurrie flat-weave rugs work well in bedrooms with a minimal or Rajasthani aesthetic. They're easy to clean and very durable. The trade-off is reduced softness underfoot — cotton dhurries are thin and have minimal cushioning. Layer over a rug pad for extra comfort.
