Shiraz is an ancient city in central Iran, which produces a very warm and comfortable series of rugs. The designs are very simple and geometric, yet the design themes seem more sophisticated than primitive. Along with geometric motifs, often featuring huge diamond-shaped medallions, small animals or plants can also be seen in parts of the field.
